I knew Leah as the most kind hearted, loving, optimistic person that I have ever met. She was an excellent doctor, combining her knowledge with her empathic personality which gave her patients calmness in times of stress. She had an inquisitive mind and always asked why and how?
This was a great thing as it showed me who she was – someone who wanted to grow first as a person and also as a physician!
I still can’t believe she is gone. I feel as I walk into a front team shift at LGH that she will be there, sitting in her seat, smiling at me. I know we all miss her smile.
All of us have been affected by Leah’s death as she was that type of person: unforgettable.
While I want to explain why these things happen, I can’t. We all have to process that on our own, with our own beliefs.
I hope we all remember Leah as I do, happy, with a smile on her face and love in her heart!
