“One of my main regrets in life is giving considerable thought to inconsiderate people”. – Jarod Kintz

What’s bothering you today?

Early on we develop habits for how we deal with things that irritate us. Take a few minutes to think about the things that bothered you today. Was it somebody on their phone while driving that made you miss the left turn arrow? Was it a cocky medical student who kept trying to show you up in front of the attending? Did you talk to a family member who knows just how to get under your skin?

How did you deal with it? Did you brush it off and move on? Has it been eating at you all day? Did you go home and vent to anyone who would listen?

In retrospect, did you deal with it the best you could? Was your wellness improved or worsened by the way you handled it?

WEEKLY WELLNESS TIP:  This week, take note of the things that bother you and the ways that you deal with them. If your wellness is worsened by your reaction, work on better ways to handle the situation next time.
